I saw an EA Brock falcon yesterday at a car yard. Can someone explain why the catalytic converters are attached to the secondary pipes from the extractors. The cat is actually physically located above the steering shaft.
Does this position of the cat close to the exhaust ports give better power down low all something. Please Explain???????????? cheers............ |

Catalytic converters work better when hot, so maybe its to try and get under emissions better?

Or maybe even for height restrictions? Who knows

I spent 6 hours yesterday driving around brissy going to different exhaust shops and it's all a big scam.
One guy admitted to me they encourage people to buy pacemaker because of the larger profit margin and they know on stock motors pressed bent pipes give a better low-mid range. |

I lost low-mid power and only gained top end power above 4200rpm. Now how often is my engine reving past 4200rpm around the city. I only get results from these pipes when i am on the highway and overtaking.
Around the city the stock headers felt and performed better. |
