Hi all,
Could anyone please help with an educated guess as to the weight of a complete I6 engine (incl manifolds, alt, etc). Need it ASAP to get cost for transport from Melb. to Central Coast, NSW. Find it hard to believe that large transport companies don't know, but that's why I'm asking the experts!

Thanks Pulco,
My guess was abt 250kg as it's complete, but I'm hoping that a member who's shipped one could remember what theirs weighed. It's good to know your guess is abt the same as mine. Nice clean ride you have there.

Thanks MMD & ARM79 I've asked Vic. wreckers, including a major sponsor of A.F.F and one who deals here but it seems unless you buy a motor from them they get a mental block  which is why I put the question to the general membership. I've used a 250kg max figure for a motor and diff. on a pallet to organize transport to NSW which seems to be close enough for now.
Thanks again,
Paul
