Gezz $2500 for the seat... I know a guy that makes them up, and sells them for well under $1000, Maybe he should put his prices up...

can u give me some contact details for this guy? all the profesional places (that use fibreglass) sell them for $2500. mine is full metal - 1960's classic, only downside is its heavy all hell and requires it to be pulled apart to be moved due to weight.

He doesn't use fibreglass either, their all metal.. He also normally wires up the tail lights so you can turn them on an off..

I'll take a pic of the one he has done just now..

hi

ok finished mill drilling two holes to convert my hemisphere to a 4 pin setup

all lined up and mini spool is in

diff gears 3.7:1 ratio crown wheel and pinion gears are getting lapped in
all the bearings and seals have arrived today

diff parts bearing acid bathed as we speak actually should be read will pick those parts up tomorrow

with a bit of luck will have the a full reconditioned mini spooled 3.7:1 ratio four pin center ready to go by the end of the weekend

new disc pads machine disc rotors and new axle bearings and seals
caliper kits and disc pads will be here tomorrow also, will rebuild the calipers also

need to get the car back on its wheels , so i can fabricate the inlet plenum and finish of the exhaust manifold , waiting on some welding consumables like the tig torch collets and collets holders for a 2.4mm tungsten electrodes zirconiated , spent a fortune in consumables tip sizes 1.6 , 2.4 and 3.2mm electrodes and collets and collets holders to suit aluminum and stainless steel tig welding

example a pack of 10 electrodes in 3.2mm to suit alloy welding are $76-oo
including gst and i had to buy 6 packets in the different sizes and different metals not to mention the other consumables

the 100% Argo shield gas bottle itself is expensive also bottle rental and the filling of the gas bottle

one expensive plenum initially

cheers

Just a tip for welding cast to mild steel use 316 stainless rods it works a treat as I have used this on projects in the past I have also seen a lot of turbo exhaust housings modded in this way and they hold up very well.

cheers Mic
