Hey guys, hoping someone can shed some light on this...
Ive got an ea falcon (cpi) that keeps running for a few seconds after i switch off (coughing and spluttering).
I dont know if related, but on start up sounds like its running on a couple of cylinders until it warms up.
This doesnt happen all the time but should i be looking at rotor/dizzy or plugs? Or both?
Or something else?

Your issue reminds me of my XF, would run on after key off, in my case it was combination of webber carby idle opened too much & timing was too far advanced.
Backed both off a bit & was fine, still had a tendency to ping now & then with wide open throttle at low RPM.
To adjust the timing (XF) I was told/shown to just loosen the main dizzy retaining bolt & gently turn the whole dizzy. Idle will increase or decrease depending.

Running on is indicative of air/fuel mixture being burnt after key off, causing the crank to rotate. Unwanted spark usually caused by a blob of red hot carbon in the chamber.
In your case you may have a faulty injector allowing fuel to escape?
