its a 89 lowerd falcon 5 speed manual 3.9 litre multi point fuel injected. looks sweet as pie but cause its only a falcon i got no tacho. and next week i am having extractors fitted too.

lol, monster tacho's. I thought this thread was a joke at first.

In terms of legalities, from what I hear, if the tach is mounted on top of the dash, or above the dash its illegal. The shift lights are illegal for sure. (from what I hear).

As for the questions of it fitting. No it wont, it shouldn't even be attempted, and they don't work in falcons, they aren't compliant with the ECU outputs, and need a $7 gazzilion dollar translator to convert the signal from anti-rice to a rice signal.

ps - I hope your car is a manual. Otherwise.... lol.

i want the tacho in the top right hand corner on the dash. do u think a 4" autometer with shift light would b ok?

didnt know they didnt come with one... mine did

any who...

im not sure if the higher series came with one, like the ghias or something?
if they do, if i were you id buy a new cluster instead of the monster tacho, which is a lot of wank factor

The spacs and fairmonts and so on got tacho's. So just go get a mid-high series cluster. Not that expensive, be cheaper than that autometer one (and they ARE expensive). Judging by your username, you want a sleeper? heading in the wrong direction mate. lol

r u serious they dont work on ea's? iv seen them on 1967 xr falcons and they dont even have a computer so why the hell shouldnt it work

hey nah im not all that serius with this car. its my daily driver but i still want it to look nice and was just thinking about the tacho. im working on a 67 xr fairmont at the moment for a project.
