Doin a bit of work to my injected 4spd 3.9 ltr ea engine has been rebuilt so far got direct pod filter to throttle body, 3.45:1 diff,2.5in exhaust[no cat],port polish head and stage 2 crow cam! also 15inch alloys and koni adjustable susp so handles well. Basically i wanna go quicker than a mates el xr6 which has mainly only intake, exhaust and extractors. i'm 200kg lighter than the xr6 but just a bit slower any mod ideas/hints without a turbo or supercharging?

for starters instead of having the pod straight into the engine bay where all its doing is sucking in Hot Air. put your standard box back in. and either do a mod so you can put the pod inside the box or buy a K&N flat pannel filter. then if u want you can buy an XH snorkle and replace the crappy ford one

Agreed. With the mods you list mate, you should be quicker.

I didn't realise that the EA was 200kg lighter than the EF/EL....
