i have an ea fairmont ghid. multipoint. when the engine is cold it runs fine, but when it warms up it seems like its flooding its self. i changed the map sensor but that didnt change anything. could it be something like the fuel reg. just some help if anyone else has had this problem and how they fixed it.

does your car always read cold?
sometimes the coolant temp sensor dosen't read right and it gets the wrong signal so the car is fuelled more than needed.

not %100 sure but i think your car has 2 temp sensors. one for the ECU and one for the dash. the one for the ecu will have 2 wires the one for the dash will only have one.
the sensor is cheap and easy to replace. it sound very much like sensor problem |

oh ok cool. where would the one on the dash be? the one that takes the interior temp? but why would that make it seem like its flooding its self? im just confused. can that cause that too?

there are booth coolent temp sensor. both are in the lower half of the thermostat housing. one sensor gives the reading for the temp gauge the other gives the reading for the ECU |
