Hi guys,
Just doing some finishing touches on a head replacement for an EB stationwagon. I am trying to reconnect the throttle cable to the throttle body, but I cant figure out how it is supposed to work. There are two 'ball joints' on the throttlebody, a high one and a low one. The socket on the cable (green attachment) only loosely attaches onto these balls. Neither ball joints seem to be in the right spot so that the cable doesnt open the throttlebody or has a lot of slack. Am i missing something here? I didnt take it off and Ive only ever done work on EF/L's Im not even sure if Im missing peices. If anyone can describe how this works or if they could take a pic of there throttle cable attachment or even scan a workshop book (I have an EL one, but its a different setup). Thanks guys. |

It sounds like you are missing the metal clip that goes over the green end to lock it onto the ball. Take a trip to the wreckers/pick apart, have a look how it is attached and get the clip while you are there.
