my eb has had a diky clutch since i bought it 18mths ago. recently its been getting worse, it shudders when changing down gears, so i figured it was warped, however over the past month when i put it into neutral and then go to put into first or second it wont go in, and this gets worse until i adjust the clutch cable, i wouldnt worry too much as all i have to do is adjust the cable, but im almost out of adjustmat. does anyone know why it could be doing this and also how to fix it, do in NEED to get a new clutch NOW?

it seeems to be straight, but when i adjust it it feels like i walking up a staircase everytime i change gears, and then when it needs adjusting it feels about an inch from the floor.

Does sound like though that the clutch is nearly worn out.

The diaphram spring may be cracked. Does it feel kind of soft? or softer than normal.

How would you tell if the pedal box is bent/broken? where exactly does it break and how?
Also, mine is a stock EB S. I am planning on getting a stage 3 PS motor from ITS performance in the future. Should i go out and get a stronger clutch now to bolt up to that in the future? or will a stock clutch be fine with the more powerful engine? Would mine have the 6 or 3 bolt version and how much it involved in the conversion?

To tell if its broken, look behind the steering column. You will feel where the clutch goes.. have a look up in there (you need to get your head really in there).
stock clutch would handle a stage3 ITS engine, but wouldn't last long, especially if you drive hard. Go heavy duty if you can, if not just get an XR6 one for the time being. If you've got the 4Litre engine, the clutch should be a 6 bolt, if the 3.9 then it will be a 3 bolt. And involved in the conversion of what? changing from a stock clutch to a heavy duty? or from a 3 bolt to a 6 bolt? to change clutches you could just take it to a transmission place.. or just pull the gearbox out a bit, unbolt clutch, bolt in new one, but the box back.. not that hard if you got the right tools. As for 3bolt to 6 bolt, you would need an 6 bolt clutch flywheel, or get the thread put in your current one (if you got a 3 bolt), and then just get a 6 bolt clutch and bolt it in. Cheers
