Hey guys im going to be doing a complete engine and trans swap, i will be putting in a 4.0L EB series 2 motor and trans into my 3.9 EB series 1 Fairmont, is there anything that has to be changed eg ecu, sensors etc.

Hi.

You will probably have to use the EB1 throttle body and the EB1 log manifold wiring loom, as they are specific to the EB1 and the Transmission Control Modual.

Does your fairmont have a digital cluster or the six guage cluster?

I did this recently myself, so have a look at my thread in my sig below.

Hi BenJ thanks for the info, i thought you had to use the manifold and wiring, yea its got a digital cluster, i was thinking of changing it to a six gauge cluster but the wiring is different and where abouts it the trans control module. Rhys

Trans control module is bolted above the steering column. You'll have to get on your back and under the dash to see it.
