The old EB motor has got a knock at big end number 1 Im guessing. Has been coming on for a while and am weighing up my options. Obviously option one is pull the motor, check everything over and do a bit of a rebuild, ie bearings, rings etc and bang it all back in. However Im leaning toward an AU non VCT engine swap. Who here has done it and how hard was it all? I have the BBM conversion done already and the thermos as well. Ive read here that I need to lop some metal out of the ribs at the front of the sump and drop a dizzy in the hole where that sensor thingo is... Does the AU motor make a good upgrade and is there anyting else I need to be wary of when I do the swapsy?
