Hi guys i have the day off today so i am going to look into why my car plays up when i take off after stopping at the lights or in traffic. It does not do it all the time and its annoying. It feels like the car has a quick miss and then drives normally after that until ive stopped again. Anyone have any quick pointers?
Im thinking the leads but dont want to spend money on them if its not.
Head gasket done last year so is OK.
Fuel pump changed this year so is OK.
Spark plugs changed with NGK's around Christmas.
Fuel filter changed around Christmas.
ISC Solenoid cleaned out a couple of months ago.

Cheers guys.
shaun.

OK changed the leads and seems better now although i only drove the car around the block. Number 3 lead looked pretty dodgy.

Did you check the dizzy cap while doing it?

Thanks baby.

No i didnt check under the dizzy cap. As we know its a b**ch to get off. We only done the head a few months ago and we took the cap of then and it was ok underneath.

Unfortunately the miss issue has not been solved.

Tomorrow i will take of the whole throttle body and ISC and give it a full clean. My idle is erratic at times.

Get a can of aerostart or carby clean and spray over the intake gasket and injectors while the motor is running.
The revs will pickup if you spray across a vacume leak.

Thanks guys for the advice. I will check the map sensor. I only just replaced it with the one from the XR6 i got the ECU from the other day. Actually i will swap it over tonight to the old one. Dont mean to sound dumb but im unsure about how to take the rotor and cap of and check it.

Lol i know you want me.

I bit the bullet and took out the dizzy cap. It appears ok what should i be looking for. Might need a bit of fine sanding on the contacts and ill put it back together. I took pics but i can post it up cause i cant find my data cable for my phone. Also im using my phone to be on here.
