3.7 is the perfect ratio. u dont have as much power or a 6 speed gear box as a v8 supercar does
thermofans, imo, are pointless for circuit, as they will be on all the time, drawing power from ur alternator therefore stiill draining power off the engine. Stick with the clutch fan. 16inch rims would be perfect for a race car, i think 17s would be too big for yours. Instead of a chip why not just get a reprogrammable computer? Like an EMS??? Lot of people use them. do a search and find more about the saloon race cars. EA/ED vs VN/VP. you should try to copy what they have done! good luck. |

they dont flex/expand as much as plain rubber would, thus giving firmer braking power

Make sure you get the pads and disks aswell with a brake service all round. Not much point in haveing funky brake lines if your pads only have 1mm left!
How much u planning on spending? Basically your priority should be 1) brakes -these will cop a hammering 2) Suspesnion -go low NOT superlow with GOOD shocks and adjustable swaybars (whiteline!) 3) Transmission - Ultimately racing with an auto is not going to be good, manual should be on the cards. 4) Engine - try to get some mods that will open up the top end while still giving good midrange, especially if you skipped step 3 5) ECU - by this time you will need a custom ECU to get the best out of your mods, you should also enjoy playing with it! 6) Weight reduction/ racing seats / gauges Also fix everything else on the way. Only use good fluids and service the car alot. Watch out as all this is around about $5000-8000 plus your CAMS licence and track day licence. You also need a helmet and fire extingusher.
