more than likely if you loose spark when the engine is warm/hot its probably the tfi module

lol with the garden hose directly on it, if it was cracked then it needs replacing anyway,

you can use the gt40 providing its not the old oil filled round coil.

either way if you dont use a factory or aftermarket replacement you will need to cut the wires to the coil as the gt40 coil uses different connection method to the factory coil..

nope no gain.. on an older carbi car with points or early electronic ignition the gt40 would be a small upgrade..

thats what i thought, also my mate put the wrong type of gt40 coil on his hj v8(wrong output or something) and it went worse until he put the original style replacement on

where about is the tfi module located?

have got an EA with a 3.9MP and ive got a new set of leads to put in . soon to buy a complete distributor set up and a GT40-T coil is there anything else in the ignition system ?

the cars got a really bad surge / misfire i put 4out of7 new leads couldn't do rest, and new injectors from wreckers who knows if tere now causing it and a new fuel pump and plugs it seems to misfire when it warms up

vehicle was on lpg since 1998 and did 40K on gas has got 120K on clock im guessing all original ignition parts

i just want to replace all ignition parts when i take it to a mechanic and dont want to realize there's a $25 part behind the coil or something causing the vehicle to act like this
