My wagon will cruise fine on the freeway on petrol, but as soon as I come to stop at lights ot somthin, it stalls. or when I drop the clutch and it goes to idle, it stalls...its also chugging under acceleration.

My fuel pump is noisy, and even audible when the car is operating on gas.

I have come to the conclusion injectors are screwed, or fuel pump clogged?

Also car will use a 1/4 tank in 15 mins driving at 2000 rmp on freeway, thats petrol. But on gas I get 500+ k's to 68 l's. So i assume that I can rule out a stuffed motor?

yup, very weird-I know. She just guzzels fuel, but on gas....mate 500kliks to $26-I love it.
It used to run real good on petrol.
also sumthin else it does-
when I take my foot off the accel pedal say in 4th on 80k's, on petrol it pulls back if that makes sence like. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and the k's wipe of real quick, almost like an exaust brake does in a truck.

but on gas, do the same thing it just crackles ,grrr, pop,pop,pop,pop.....and slowly slows down...sorry for being a wank but thats the only way I can explain. I reckon someone will know what the prob is..

Dont be a tight a*** and by a new fuel filter or two,
check the map for a vacum leak,
if the petrol pump is noisy replace it with a newy because you'll run out of gas at 0200hrs on the way home and petrol pump will of shat it's self,
even get the oxy sensor checked, bring it to drag day on the tenth of nov and blow the cob webs out of it.

i'd be putting a known good set of injectors in, checking for fuel leaks and vacuum leaks. Either way somethings obviously no good ;)

if the pump is working hard all the time and being noisey aswell as using s**t loads of fuel i would suspect the fuel pressure reg is stuck closed, i would be checking this first.... or even if the return line is blocked somewhere between the fuel rail and the tank.

and dont be so up yaself when seeking free advice, if you cant wait a couple of days for a free answer pay someone to look at it instead.

good luck with it.

id be replacing the oxygen sensor in the exhaust, this would only work when its on petrol. Pull a spark plug out and have a look at it after running on petrol then again after running on gas, should be a good indicator if its running rich or lean
