I'm leaning towards vct. Would this be a decent move?

im gonna do the vct conversion as well....people who have done it were you satisfied with the gain from it? i have the parts to get it running the rpm switch, pulleys, belt and the head...at the same time ill get chaging the fuel rail from a 2.7bar to a 3.5bar (have it sitting in the shed so why not)

will this benfit it much?

Might use an au head. More options are open for them such as cams ect. And for the better flow capabilities once ported and cleaned up.

What's a decent cam that'll give decent power with mild tune? Or one that doesn't neccessarily need a tune but is noticeable?

ive got a vct engine in my ed, it was hooked up to a rpm switch to switch at 3000rpm and made a nice improvement, nothing earth shattering but a nice overall gain..

im now still running the vct head but the vct gear has been removed and im now running a vernia gear with a wade non vct cam..

Ok, I managed to get my grubby hands on an eb tickford head. Not sure if it's eb1 or eb2.

Would I be better off with the tickford head off an eb or an ef el tickford head. Or no real difference in the two?
