I was looking at buying a new FG at Westpoint Ford in Hoppers Crossing but the salesman said I would see more power if I spend $17 on an Ebay Resister Chip and putting it on my stock EA.

Is this true? I have to borrow the money from my dad because I havn't been getting many shifts at BILO.

I know this may sound wrong but the EA was owned by my nanna and is in purfect condition. Its manual but the clutch is on its way. Iv been told if I rev it hard enough I don't need a clutch to change gears.

Welcome to flaming.

If you can drive well enough you can change without clutch at all rev ranges.

An EA going better than an FG with Ebay chip??? Yeah sure i might invest in one. Sound like the sales person thought you were wasting his time and told you in a nice way to piss off.

Sorry, but if you are being serious. The ebay resistor mod is a scam, you will not get any power from it at all. A stock FG falcon has 195kw and stock EA has 120kw or 139kw depending which series yours is. A FG falcon is one bloody quick stock car and will probly hit highs 14's low, 15's in a quarter. A EA falcon isn't very quick you will probly hit high 16, low 17's with your EA. But you cant really compare and EA to an FG as the FG it better in everyway shape an form.

Except being a few hundred kilo's heavier than the EA.

Hey fourlitre
By all means mate.. get the resistor.. it will give you mucho extra power.. Ford were hoping you wouldn't find out about their secret (they leave that resister out on purpose as a kind of restrictor so people don't push them to hard)

You should pull 250 kilowats at the back wheel in your EA with that resistor mate.. I put ten of them in mine and I'm pulling about 400rwkw now. Now that I've got 400rwkw, I'm gonna put an electric charger on next to see if I can pull 800rwkw... and all for less than 100 bucks... mint!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

seriously.. who got board and started trolling?
