I have been searching for hours looking for info on resetting the ecu in an EF. Before anyone says use the search feature I have been trying with no luck.

disconnect the ground/earth lead at the battery and walk away for 20 minutes. easy e's

Disconnect battery, about 10mins, then reconnect, handbrake on, all accessories off, no interior light on, start in Neutral, and as the engine starts, put into drive for 5mins at idle, no touching the accel pedal, then after that, return to neutral, for 5mins, then back into drive and turn on A/C for 5 mins, then Neutral @ idle, then you can turn it off or drive it.
