I put some petrol injector cleaner into my 93 Fairmont last week with about 25L left in the tank.

In the last 10L I noticed from a cold start that the revs would drop from the normal 5 - 600 or so down to 2 - 300. I don't know if it is just coincidence or the injector cleaner interupting the function of the engine, but the same thing happened after I treated my 1990 Corolla Seca late last year.

It was not getting enough fuel on start up. This was not the case in the first 2 weeks I have had the Fairmont.
What do you think is the problem?

NO,NO. a waste of time & money.
The only way to clean the injectors are to take them off the engine & get them ultrasonicly cleaned back flushed & then flow tested.
I have had petrol injector cleaner block up injectors. What happens is that it take off the junk in the injector but it has to get out. It will never pass the pindal (tip) & caurse the injector to block up.

I don't like the sound of that!

That may be the reason for the drop in revs/decrease in fuel flow :(

Any way I can fix this without performing an operation on the engine?

I would say there is just s**t fuel in the bottom of the tank. Don't worry about the injectors, I would be filling up the tank with premium and replacing the fuel filter. Also clean the throttle body and the ISC.

Also that injector cleaner should be put into the tank before you fill the car up with petrol at the servo.

Cheers...

I've filled up with 51L of Premium since but the problem still remains, though I'm yet to change the filter, let's hope that is the problem.
