nah mate, piece of piss. firstly, take off the surround around the instrument cluster by taking three screws on the top, and then take off the boot release buttons and the blank on the opposite side, and in there are two more screws holding the bottom of the surround. then just pull it out. you'll then see the heater panel has four screws holding it in place, and just pull it out. a plug and couple of vac hoses on back just pull out and your done. as for getting new ones, don't bother, wrecker have hundreds of them for $10-20 and most get thrown out with cars. just find a good one before you remove from donor car.

cheers.

After taking three screws above speedo, you need to remove the boot release buttons and the central locking buttons either side of steering column by taking of the one screw that holds them in and pull them out.

Then, if you look inside the holes were switches used to be, look up and you'll see a screw holding the bottom of the faschia in place. Take these two screws off, and the faschia will unclip when pulling off.

Also, not too much to worry about when removing heater plugs and hoses, as they'll only fit one way (if your worried, draw a picture or take a photo and look back at it to make sure you get it right).

And the difference between ea/eb and eb2/ed is the Ford logo is blue, and there is a "CFC FREE" logo on it. Also, when you switch the demister slider up to top, on the eb2/ed will switch the aircon on automatically via a little micro switch inside it, whereas the ae/eb won't.

Hope that clears up some things for you.

Cheers,

Mark.
