I know this subject has been covered plenty of times and as such used the search function in the hope of finding the required help.
Anyway, My ED starts perfectly and runs perfectly but when it reaches proper operating temperature it begins to idle roughly when in drive, Stopped at traffic lights etc and my foot on the brake pedal. I replaced the idle control solenoid, Replaced the plugs and leads, Checked the inlet manifold bolts for correct tightness, Even sprayed carby cleaner on the manifold gasket to check for leaks....There were no leaks and all bolts were tight. So now I am unsure what else to check. It is fine to drive just the rough idle is starting to get on my nerves. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Maybe try to reset the ECU and reset the base idle.

Gonna try some Austtech fuel treatment in it today.....Which also cleans the injectors and the complete fuel system, So will see if that makes any difference.

Auto or manual? auto could be the torque convertor collapsing, manual, could be a stretched cable with symptoms only showing up when warm, clutch dragging etc..

if it only does it with the brake applied then it must be in the brake system somewhere, could be a slight leak in the booster,or where the booster hose connects to the inlet manifold.

If the idle control solenoid is unplugged, What generally happens to the idel? Does it fluctuate or something similar?
I just unplugged mine to see what would happen and when I unplugged it the car idled exactly the same as when it's connected.

Check the vacuum hose at the manifold connection for the MAP sensor. Check the condition of the carbon brush on the dizzy cap, and check how much wobble at the dizzy shaft.
Check ignition coil for cracks.

So your saying it only happes when on the brake? Sounds like your booster is about to collapse. I had this happen in 2 cars, the diapghram in the brake booster just gets old and cracks, and voila, your vac system is copping it in the a-hole.
Maybe check this.

To check the booster, depress the brake pedal several times, about 6, then while your foot is still holding down the brake pedal, start the engine. The brake pedal should go down abit, and if not, the booster is stuffed.
