Hi guys, the ED still has power steer shudder even at speeds upto 20km.
Fitted new,not reco Pump+New hoses+Rack ends. Still shudders, anyone have any ideas, could it be the pressure switch? Cheers Spider.

Can get a bit annoying eh? And sounds terrible.
I was told it was the pump so replaced it,then told it was the hoses=Nope! Then the rack ends=nope! Going to get a new pressure switch and see if that helps, I'm thinking maybe its a bit of all the above as it has got a little better with each new part.

Could it be air trapped in the system ???? I had this problem once with my BA xr6 after I picked it up from a service and I took it straight back and they told me the apprentice stuffed up changing the power steering fluid and it had air locks in the system.
Don't know how true this is but this is what they told me. |

You are right Neilo about the air lock.

I also had airlock probs with my BA, so it was one of the first things I tried hoping it was a easy fix.
Have tried it everytime I replace another part but has made no difference so far! I would have thought it would be fixed by now considering almost everything that could be causing it has been replaced. Thanks for the suggestion though!

It does help to grease the actual rack & pinion. It cuts down " Rack Chatter ".
I use the Ford fluid R1-424 for all Falcons from EA onwards.
