Hi folks,

I am having a few issues with my EL Mont, so am doing a few preventative measures ... i have an ED with a heavy duty radiator ... can i put that radiator into the EL and visa-versa ... will they fit ok ? I am selling off the ED soon and there may not be anything wrong with the EL radiator but just to be on the safe side as I do a few country driving trips.

I always thought they fit fine but someone told me that there was an issue with one of the hoses ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

its ok i answered my own question ... i see the hose from the tank goes in on a different angle ... should be all good if i swap those hoses too

The only difference That I know of is the hose that runs from the header tank to the radiator.

The ED hose enters on the side of the radiator where as the EL enters on the back.

you will also find that the ed radiator has a larger diameter lower radiator hose outlet..
so the el radiator hose wont fit ...

ok the next question i have is: the ED has a 3 core larger radiator that i put in it, and the EL one seems fine but is only a standard 2 core. should i swap them over just for the sake of it to have better cooling as the EL will be my daily now and i know that the bigger radiator is clean and relatively new ?? should i put the smaller el radiator into the ed will i have any issues given that its substasially thinner and visa versa

if the std el radiator is cooling ok? there really is no need to change it..

but if you do swap them over the best way to get around the bottom hose difference is getting a pipe made up that reduces from ed hose size to el size....
as the el hose wont stretch over the ed bottom outlet on the radiator.. unless you pay a radiator repairer to swap the tank over??..
