...fuel pump?.. you're next post will be ..

"I was driving - and my car died" haha

underneath of your alternator was covered in oil? Like dirt? or like dripping?

And yes, we are getting somewhere... this is more productive than work that I should be doing at the moment. haha.

haha... good to see.

superlow springs are easy - jack up the car... angle grind the old springs, "screw" the new springs in, compress by lowering the car back onto them, and do all bolts back up...

Anybody reading the above and seriously contemplating... uh..... how do I put this.... please try it, the evolution theory states you will die.

I can't be f**k typing up the whole procedure, but it's been covered plenty of times, and it's not hard, but you will definately need tools.

And I wouldn't let that problem slip... something went wrong, and it will go wrong again...

ok alternator belt sometimes squels
would this be due to the oil?

also sometimes when i quickly tap the throttle it goes to die an then idles again
im guessing thgis would be plugs
:)
ill wait till it gets dark a bit later to find out if theres any prob with the alternator
but if i start it and disconnect the battery does that mean the alternantor is fine?

yup - car running without a batter is a car running of the alternator..

and it going to die could be heaps of things... especially if you disconnected the battery, "reset" ecus can cause this sometimes.

I'm still not convinced your problem is fixed... so I wouldn't be planning a road trip anywhere.

I drove around without power steering for ages, and as have plenty of other people... you all know who you are... so I wouldn't worry.
