happy new yr all.

My EF has been running rough as guts for alittle while but havn't had time to look at it, and it's getting worse (ofcourse).
Symptoms are:1. when breaking and comming to a stop, idle remains high for a period of time.
2. when i start it from cold and it warms up, it blows black water out back.
3. when smashing 1st and 2nd blows some black smoke.
4. basicly runs like a b**ch.

Now, is this just the tune up or something more major?

Any ideas?

Cheers
Acidic.

give the ISC a clean

i think there is a doco on here somewhere. that might fix the idle problems..

maybe Oxy sensor for the richness

no.2 is normal, its just condesation in the exhaust and the carbon mixing with it. It will blow crap out if you put ya foot down and should go away pretty quick

Two problems I've had are IAC motor, which can be unbolted and blasted with carby cleaner. Or brake booster. Both for the bad idle anyway

Yeah if you want to check the inlet manifold gasket, pour water over it while it is running, and listen for a sucking, vaccuum type noise if you hear that the gasket is stuffed...Vito.
