Ok, so my air con has issues getting cold - it may partly be low gas (system does have pressure in it though) was regassed 12 months ago and was moderately cold for a few months.

So just a few questions - my vents get confused but meh.

The sun load sensor, any bearing on AC temp? my dash mat doesn't have a hole in it, but assume its used for the CC when set to auto?

My evaporator temperate doesn't move from 24/24.5 even while driving.

Detects ambient temp at 24 today, but cabin temperature as 33. Sure the cabin was hotter, but didn't feel like 33.

9 - (9 Bars) - Aircon and Vent Selection (00 A/C Off Floor) (11 A/C On Face) (22 A/C Off Face/Floor) (33 A/C On Screen/Floor) (4 Screen) - My result here stayed as 0 no matter what i did

I can feel the compressor kick in most of the time, press the AC button and the revs do flare up as it kicks in.

Any ideas? Should just get a regassed again, provided that is the problem, but would like to know if its more. The blend door motor works fine, the numbers cycle through as you change the temp.

I think it works auto or manual - if it's in the dark it will reduce cooling as there is no sunlight to represent heat on the windshield, as the sensor works on light.

How cold do the pipes at the engine bay firewall get ??

I cut a hole in my dash mat so the sensor could poke through... might help you ?

Yeh, i'll cut a hole in the dash mat at some point - I think it is just outta gas - will make sure they check it for leaks properly this time...

Just been driving with the AC 'apparently' on and then off and the evaporator temperature only went from 24 - 24.5* so I guess its outta gas.

On that doco and my original post - For EF the doco is the wrong way around for ambient and cabin temp, but I will double check.

Bloody ford air-cons. useless pricks :D Just hope the pump isn't shagged.
