I am thinking for the EF i get a BA pod filter air box, Have a tickford snorkle, and probably BA piping.
The tickford snorkle will fit right in an EF and that you can install a BA pod setup on a AU so why not EF. I will also use the BA air pipe because it is much neater then the EF/AU gear. What do you guys think?! Just an idea.

Yeah i think the whole setup will be around $255 new but wreckers can fix that. Compared to a ss induction system i think its cheap.

Wouldn't you be better off relocating your battery - boot or even other side of the engine bay were the current air box is. And running a fairly straight pipe to wwere the batteryy previously was, sitting a pod there with a decent heatshield setup for it? That way your increasing the flow and directness of flow by reducing the major u-turn bend!

i was thinking the exact thing while looking at my brothers ef motor, it should be alot better without all the bends and s**t, and it would be reducing the length of pipework too

you guys were looking at the V8 set-up's wernt you??????
It is a pain in the C*** to move the battery or i would give it a crack. im gong to try find all teh parts but at the moment i owe a couple hundred buks and have to save for end of year trip. But im going to try make a start. As for teh snorkle i think we would have to cut and dice it up to fit properly.

moving the battery to the other side of engine bay shouldnt be too hard, it would be alot easier than putting it in the boot

Ill have to 2nd that. Just thinking about it the lead for the starter motor will be shorter and wont run under the k member. the only problem is the distro block for s**t around the car which can be fixed with some decent bettery terminals and some 0 gauge cable.

Mate you can do what i have done, remove the battery, but a distribution block were it was, on that shelf thing, run positive lead from battery to that block and run all the originally leads that were on the positive terminal on thaat block, easy peasy.
For the earth one you just have to ground the battery to the cars chasis, but I decided to do that aswell as run an earth caable all the way to the front again to the body up there with a bolt through it and all the original leads hooked to it aswell. Then you can have a pod filter sitting above this stuff no worries. I'll post a bit of a picture later, doing anassingment now. |
