Is it worth removing the piece of pipe in the top half of the EF airbox lid to alow more air in. Also has anyone modified the air box by cutting a hole in the bottom half and then through the metal under the airbox and running a piece of 4 inch PVC pipe into the brake duct air inlet at the front. I already have the Tickford Snorkel on it.

That piece of pipe is what makes the EF airbox one of the highest flowing airboxes around, so don't remove it.
Yes people have cut holes in the bottom and drawn air from the brake duct spot you speak of.

yes yes much agree with the last post its there because it works and if it works well and does what its ment too dont touch him unless you are going to attach an in box pod

I saw a test on 20 odd airboxes, and the EF was pick of the bunch, with a standard filter.

yeah the v8 vs one was the best, with falcon being second best, but the vs one was tested without a snorkel or something

for the extra gains that u would get by cutting a whole under ure airbox to the brake duct wouldnt be worht the efoort would imagine |
