hey, been a while since i've posted. i've got an EF thats done up to some extent and running sweet. however my mate just bought one and he needs help fixing some stuff. im an apprentice auto electrician but dont know enough yet to help him.
the problems are: it backfires occaisonally when driving which inturn blows the intake pipe to bits which he has taped back up really poorly. i know the throttle body is filthy inside, so ill clean that out this weekend. i havent yet checked if any breather hoses are disconnected but he reckons all the hoses are on. he reckons it runs on five cylinders on petrol and runs ok on gas apart from the idling and bakfiring. it also spits out a fair bit of white condensation from the exhaust for some time after start up. he said he changed the plugs and oil, and ran sweet untill it backfired and since then its ran bad again.
does anyone have any clues as to what this may be
