If it is going flat, how do you get it charged again? Not a smarty answer just interested. The reason I ask is that it may be the alternator or the Regulator in the Alternator.?

Maybe a light is still on like in the boot area?

A simple check at night start the engine and turn the lights on rev the notor to 2000rpm the light should glow brighter if not the charging system is faulty. If your have a volt/multi meter connect it across both battery terminals should read above 13 volts check the battery terminals are clean and tight even disconnect both terminals and clean the battery posts and terminals with steel wool until they shine . finally check the earth cables especially the return earth at the bell housing lefthand side make sure they are clean and tight. if the battery light light on the cluster doesnot come on you have blown the ignition fuse so the alternator will not charge

Thats what I was thinking! the battery light wont come on when starting if the main fuse is blown

if all else fails, try doing a residual amperage check on your car. connect a multimeter inline on your battery when everything is turned off, if it's drawing more than .003 amps - running clock, smartlock light, then its drawing power from somewhere else, this is a basic check we used to do when ppl say their batt is running flat to soon

How old's the battery? Battery might have dropped a cell or 2 and could cause some dramas. If it's new, then I'd be checking the charging system as everyone above has mentioned.
