You will need mechanical and electrical skills to finish it off correctly. READ THIS to see what is involved. Cheers BenJ

What you do get is a big fat torque curve at around the 2700 to 3500 rpm mark where the BBM then switches to short runners. Has to be one of the best mods you can do for increased perfomance and fun in a daily driver. Cheers BenJ

Hmm sounds like it would go nice with a high stall converter =D..im after new motor anyway & the ef-el motors have bbm already on em. would i have to change my automatic transmission to an Ef-El transmission instead of a Eb transmission or doesnt matter?..or change the k frame or any modifcations? (mate just dropped his in) dunno if he changed transmissions was manual

the hardest part of the conversion is the bolts..... its 2 extra wires and a few hours work... easy i thought...

Quote: EF/EL BBM and Throttle Body and support brackets New intake manifold gasket EF/EL Fuel Rail and Injectors and Fuel Regulator with as much of the Fuel hose attached as you can get The metal heater pipe that goes from the back of the water pump, under the exhaust manifold, around the back of the engine and under the back of the BBM The metal heater pipe from the lower thermostat housing EF/EL heater pipes as they ARE different EL ECU EF/EL BBM Switching Solenoid and associated Vacuum pipes and fittings EF/EL intake filter box and pipes EF/EL throttle pedal and cable - the pedal has a different ratio than the EA-ED one Log manifold wiring harness modified to suit the BBM shape and EF/EL TPS and ICS This is the list given by Benj - have a few questions if anyone can asnwer them. "EF/EL BBM Switching Solenoid and associated Vacuum pipes and fittings" - This is physically mounted on the Manifold right? So, just unbolt the Log style manifold, slap on the new one with a bit of stuffing around with the air intake, heater pipes and throttle linkage and swapping in the EL/EF Accelerator Pedal. BUT............... Quote: the hardest part of the conversion is the bolts..... its 2 extra wires and a few hours work... easy i thought... When you say add a couple of wires - what do you mean mate? Can you elaborate? |

the switching solinoid is Not in thee bbm. Its behiknd the washer bottle. It has 2 wores coming out of it. The hard part is getting the wires thru the firewall to the ecu.

You will also have to add a pin to the ECU plug for the BBM switching wire, and splice into 12v Ignition for the other BBM wire. You will also have to unbolt the the exhaust manifold to replace the metal heater pipe etc.

EB1 to AU all use the BTR transmission and are interchangeable. The only real difference is that the dipstick got deleted with the EF11 update.
