Can the AU's timing cover work with an EF cam angle sensor and harmonic balancer, or are AU items needed, or does the timing cover need to be swapped to run an AU engine in an EF?

Gab Timing cover has nothing to do with the EF Cam angle sensor. I think your talking about the Crank angle sensor. The AU timing cover Will accomodate the EF Sensor.

Correct, I was talking about the crank angle sensor lol. Good to know it will be apples. Cheers, Gab |

Yes the crank sensor works just fine, the AU cam sensor in the timing cover is a different story.
I suspect that the AU sensor is not compatable with the EF ECU as the EF is 50% on and 50% off where I suspect the AU is single a pulse at TDC on power stroke.

is that the one where the dizzy hole is???
AU is just a cover for the hole.... Use the EF one in a EF and put that in the AU Motor.
