I have an EF and its about due for a clutch replacement!

Its just started to be a b**ch getting back into 1st and can feel it hesitating to get into second, with double clutching the problem is solved for me... However I don't want the other half whom drives the car to damaging my T5.

Anyways.. The fork seems straight so at 130K's i thought the pressure plates about cactus!

So any suggestions on brands? I was keen on getting a PBR XR6 Equiv.
I don't want a hard clutch and I don't want to pull the firewall towards my foot either!

so.. Advice of brands would be muchly appreciated! eg, Pros/Cons

Cheers

I run RPM clutches in my cars, Not a problem with them ...

But its always a good idea to get the firewall welded up for strengh .

Have u checked the clutch adjustment. If the clutch is draging then u will have trouble getting into gear. Maybe the cable is on the way out or stretched. Check this as it may save u money. U did not say if the clutch was slipping at all.

How much power are u planning to run? Ive heard good things about the rpm clutches for midly worked cars. I sourced alot of info for my ea when i was planing to turbo it and the best combination i was recomended was a geniii pressure plate witha custom clutch plate, it was gonna cost $1100 unfitted and firewall strengthening was required.

The Clutch is not slipping at all.
I have tried other cables (same result)
The Clutch thrust bearing + fork seems (not physically bent).
I can only narrow this down to the Clutch fingers being tired, the further I push the thrust bearing and after a basic drive it returns to the same old.

for a few hundred bux i'll just replace it and reface the flywheel, just need a good idea on what to get,

RPM seems good I had one of those in my 5ltr holden ute, But i don't need a pretty yellow clutch in a family car :)

and for the record, I have 142.5rwkw and now is a daily driver.

Yes... I just welded mine back up, if it goes again some 6mm steel plate will be going in its place.

RPM clutches are wikid, I run one and I can't complain.
