as i said earlier - it does go away after a while, i'm just wondering why it does it in the first place!

Yeah i remembered what you had said earlier and thought that i may have to wait a while for it to go however it just seems a bit rediculous for the ECU to take up to a month to re-learn what it needs to do...

I noticed today that the problem occured when i let go of the steering wheel.

For example:

can turn from lock to lock with no issues however as soon as i let go of the wheel after i turn the wheel then the revs dip!

still not any closer to figuring this thing out!

could it be a power steering switch problem then?

lol i just had this happen to me just yesterday after i had the battery out and i realised that it happened after i replaced my timing chain guide wihc i also had the battery off for. at first i thought it was my ISC coz id played around with it a bit. it was wierd. id lighty touch the accelerator to give it a rev and then it would hold at 1100rpm on the way down and theneventually drop to 700. It was also hunting around heaps at idle. im gonna give that ecu relearn thing a go 8-)

Well that is when the problem started because i replaced the old power steering switch however the new one is not leaking so i thought that it must not be the problem...
