well on the dyno check teh differences, as one cut and fitted is 2/3rwkw we found on jases..

Thats pretty crazy (as in good crazy) i would actually like to see that myself as my XR got dyno'd over three times to test different power increasing methods all while it was stock.

So i wouldnt mind seing those kind of results for my Xr6.

I think the reason you guys are having problems with your snorkles thou is because you didnt read the doco properly.

You have to trim it first as then it will fit properly, the rubber on mine sits exactly on top of the Snorkle about 3mm or so from the edge so there are no restriction at all with mine.

Assuming i did not cut the snorkle back, yes it would of been useless as it would be blocking the air going into the snorkle.

But yeah just my 2 cents

I noticed a gain after fitting the EL GT snorkel. Increase in throttle response, acceleration out of a corner, gear changes are smoother and runs alot better on the highway. Before the snorkle my trip meter use to say 8-9l at 100km/hr and now it continuously sits on 6l-7l at 100km/hr.

Cheers Luke.

When I fitted the AU XR8 snorkel to my EL I did the Chalk trick and everything lined up properly.

I fitted the snorkel as per the Doco on here.

its not gonna make any kind of a massive difference anyway, the whole damn snorkle really makes harly any difference, yeah it worth 30 or 40 bucks u pay for it doesnt get u 20rwkw or anything, the rubber seals gonna make fuk all difference its no major problem.

if ure that concerned just do what azza did and move it back.

I didn't bother trimming mine, just screwed it into place where the original screw mounts where (only needed to make one hole, as one lined up ok)

Same here. except I didn't need to drill ANYTHING.
The holes lined up perfectly

The EL GT snorkel is around $50. The AU XR8 snorkel is around $40. Prices have gone up dramatically since last year due to the demand as quoted by a ford spare parts person.

Cheers Luke , have a nice day!!!!!!!!!

They must be making some money from them, I payed $23 including TAX 18 months ago.

Supply and demand, they only made ~250 of 'em, they're probably wondering why they've sold 1000 snorkles.

Must be some sort of reliability issue.

yeah it'll fit your NF, same as teh XR8 snorkel. I just called my local ford dealer, and asked if they could get one, didn't need a part number - they can look it up.

Well I think I'm going to get an ELGT snorkle now for both my EFs.

I've got extractors so it'll be a case of "Breathe in.......breathe out ...ahhhh"
