Theres been a lot of questions/talk about what you get in an EF/EL ex cop/pursuit car.. heres the list;

You can check if your Vehicle is a ex pursuit/police car by looking at your Compliance Plate located under the passenger side of the front windscreen. It will say OPT20.

1. Factory Fitted Transmission Cooler

2. Police Issued ECU;- 180km/h Speed Limited Removed; 4th Gear/OD after 65km/h only; 'Supposedly' Performance ECU.

3. Police Issued Instrument Cluster; Incriments of 2km/h instead of 5km/h (EF) and 10km/h (EL); Hidden 'Speedo' mode able to adjust Speedo -% and +% for larger/smaller wheels/high-lower reading.

4. Factory Fitted 3.23 Single Spinner / LSD / 3.45 Diff; Varies on vehicle from 6 Cylinder to 8 Cylinder.

5. Tickford Suspension; Same as XR6/XR8 Suspension including Tickford 'Shim' like camber kit.

6. Futura/Fairmont/XR Style Reading Lamps Infront and Rear.

7. Cruise Control is 'Plug & Play' with Module + Steering Switches.

8. Taxi/Police Issued Silver "Chaser" Style Wheels; Stronger then factory black wheels for crazy police and habib taxi drivers.

9. Extra holes on pillar or over interior; For 'police decorative computers' which were previously fitted'

I think that about covers it, unfortunately it still has a GLi BEM and not an Futura/XR BEM (but their plug & play too for the exchasers!)

Will post pictures of EF cluster (black) and EL cluster (grey) shortly.

Pulco, it can be done quite easily. Take your cluster apart and take your needles off slowly (i recommend using some maskin tape at the bottom of each needle so you know where they sat prior to taking them off tho!).

Get a sharp razor and lightly scratch/rub off the red paint from under the needles and repaint them with a white marker/posca/paint pen or even with a fine paint brush and some hobby paint. then get your Blue LEDs and your needles will also light up blue!

:)

ive got one and man i knew it was faster than a normal one.

i was told by my engineer last week when he told me the reason my car is running a bit rough..... lol " mate these chasers run a bit rough because of the extra fuel put in"

i was stoked.

so does that mean that these exchasers are worth more?

i have an ef
