i know that ef/els are speed limited to 180 in stock form. is it correct that the ecu manages this? without piggybacking or replacing the computer is there any way i can get rid of the limiter by modifying it(the computer) or an other means?

get xr6 tail shaft, then xr6 ecu and go nuts no limiter and u wont go for a flip when u get past 180, ive heard stock tail shafts break or become unstable after 180 in the GLIs etc,

Exactally. The tail shaft doesn't handle faster speeds, thats why its there.

Thats right, the speed limiter is there for a reason! Not just to piss you off.

I'd like to know where you drive your car that you can legally reach speeds past 180km/h

I am getting real bored seeing another boring SPEED LIMITER question.

They should ban them.

Search its all been said and done before.

Wankers apply for speed limiter removal here https://secure.nsw.gov.au/reporting_cri ... ity_online
