There are underdrives for the BA 4.0's. Kind of pointless IMO since they pretty much underdriven from factory.

Only for BA's.

They have been made and tested for ef/el and the company decided not to go ahead and produce them because there was no gains.

An underdrive kit is a new set of pulleys that you fit to the crank, power steering pump, alternator, water pump, and ac. They spin these things slower, which means the engine has less load and that they dont work quite as well (i.e. you alternator is not charging the battery as much at idle).

They are an advantage if the engine is spinning these things faster than it needs to from factory. The 5.0 v8s are an example of this - fit underdrives, engine goes better but everything still spins fast enough to work. It seems though that ford set up the 4.0 6's just right so you cant underdrive the accessories any more.

I don't have either. The question was if there are any available, and there are!
