hey recently i did a full engine rebuild on my 95 ef falcon and in the process of that i purchased a regrind surecam. every time i start the car now i have to have it idling at 1000rpm otherwise it will stall and the engine will shake anything under 1000 rpm, even when i have it in gear, the revs go up and down like a whores draws. have got a j3 chip and that aint rele helping, may have to get another tune put on it.
if anyone can help or has had this prob, please feel free to put your thoughts up Thanks Jamie 95 Ef falcon gli, cold air intake, surecam regrind cam, Pacemaker comp headers, high flow cat into a 2 1/2 inch exhaust with high flow muffler, 17inch adrenalin ROH rims......

Did you set the cam timing with a vernier gear?

surecams said the timing for the cam regrind was dot to dot standard timing as i couldnt afford the venier adjustible timing gear.

if you still have old cam put it back in problem will be solved, just cos the cam lines up dot to dot on timing chain doesn't mean it doesn't need dialing in, do you have shims in reground cams need em

if its only a real mild cam you should swap it for an eb XR6 cam, i have put one into an EF standard gli could fully feel the difference and it had a nice smooth idle, last regrind cam i put in took car about a month for ecu to calm down, if you take your car to a good tuner who knows fords alot of em only do jap cars and don't know s**t about fords well pre ba, they should be able to get your car to idle but will cost around 180 an hour could take a couple hours, if you do this the car must be completely road worthy or they wont put it on dyno happen to me a couple years ago
