uniacidz wrote: Off the monifold? The throttle body you mean? That was native on my car, is a EL intake. That connects to the 180degree pipe i cut into two $25 Then that flexitube was native i think as well for the EL intake, Straight pipe $25 Silicon tubing, f**k me $50 i think yeah oops throttle body haha yeah i might have to get a silicon tube that comes off that and then do the rest like you said sounds pretty easy but those friggin tubes are expensive ... i was looking at some today when i was seeing if i could get an adaptor for the pod filter but they didnt have any :/ so i just put it on the stock pipe it fits nice and tight though haha |

uniacidz wrote: Basically i spent $100 i think on parts for it. 180 degree tube i cut in two, Silicon tube also i cut up and didnt use some bits of what i bought at all. I spent too much As mentioned, rocker cover/bonnet clearance was a issue with me, also some others experienced this as well yet some can fit it just. Have a good read of the thread, see what parts you have and what you can use and go from there. Also get a newer snorkle, an AU V8 snorkle One for sale here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-FALCON- ... 3f0e5ef05f or better condition one here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-EF-EL-A ... 519b0eec00 With all air intakes you have to remember something as well, if you do a great intake, best to also do exhaust and extractors as well. what would i do about the clearence if im having trouble with it?? and im not gonna worry bout a snorkel just yet as the pod filter isnt in a box its just off the pipe and im also looking at getting some extractors but dont know what woulb be decent ones and at a decent price? plus what size are the intake pipes? arent they like 3" or something |

While you have your intake off, get some High temp paint and primer and give that rocker cover a nice coat of red or something! =) liven up that engine bay!

Difillipo and Jim Mock Motorsport do premade 3" intake pipes from the BBM to the airbox.
They are both around the same price, at about $350. Difillipo Intake JMM Intake

difilippo intake is actually $440 inc GST, they are 3’’ ceramic coated inside and out side. directly from an email i got back from them last week.
JMM Ultra-Flow Intake Kit, 3" Mandrel, Coated, incl filter, etc is $390. Might as well buy the bends on ebay and get a mate who knows how to tig to do it. will cost you roughly 100-150 to do in stainless, or get an exhaust shop to do it. |

I was close I got quoted "a couple hundred bucks" from an exhaust shop to do mine in stainless from the bbm to air box
