Im not mechanically minded so i will try explain best i can. My car will start up fine drive along and after abour 20 - 25 mins of driving the radio cuts out shortly followed by the dash dying however motor remains running with full power. once i have pulled up and turned off the car if i try turning it over there is nothing (not even the stereo will power up). any ideas?

the dash and stereo etc get there power from the BEM (Body Electronics Module)

http://www.fordmods.com/documents.php?d=26

its also your car immobilizer

if your electronically inclined just pull it apart and redo the solder connections and put it back in

if not just replace it

its possible that when the electronics are cold they are just connecting then when warm the metal expands away from the connection resulting in it not working

I just went to the car on my lunch break, it started fine. However i checked the Fuses the 'MAIN' 100amp fuse looks to be burnt, the clear plastic has a melted look about it and i can't get it out also the two 40 amp fuses for engine and battery are rattling, dose this mean they are blown?
