hi guys im looking at getting a bigger cam for my ef 6cyl, has dev3hl cam kit but jim mock and ported and polished head. i have an exhaust already so im really only looking to change the cam. i do a lot of driving in town but not the city and miy car is auto with shift kit. i want something that sounds beefy and will chug and give me that extra get up and go...
what is recommended, maybe something from wade or even a crow stage 3???
let me know cause i dont have much clue

Some 3.70:1/3.89:1 diff gears would be way more benificial than a cam for the driving you do.

I agree - pretty much anything you do with a cam to UP from the Dev3 is very unlikely to do anything to help the bottom end - at best you might end up with decent midrange gain but that doesn't really sound like what you're after - so go with the diff.

Other option - cheaper than the diff and worth a try - to do what you want oddly enough might be to go slightly smaller in cam - ie. try the most conservative of the Wade cams or even a factory XR6 cam.

Yeah, unfortunately 3.45 is a total waste of money - but poor bug gers still keep getting sucked into doing it. The change needs to be at least 3.7!!!
