hey guys, first time poster here :)

I have a 85 XF with EF running gear, (engine, gb, ecu etc)

I am having troubles with it running rich and rev hanging if revved past 2k, I have replaced, coilpack, air/coolant temp, new o2, changed TPS, ISC, MAP, Fuel Reg and TB but till no difference, ecu is 4TAB from memory (EF2 manual) and its also got a fresh head 2 weeks old with compression 215psi
-/+5psi

The only vacuum the engine has is PCV, rear rocker vac, brake booster and fuel reg, all other ports are blocked off. this is the last thing I need to work out before doing more work on the engine *cough* boost :)

have you checked those for a vac leak? map sensor lines? intake manifold gasket?

rev hang could be a fried circuit in the ecu. or vac leak or isc. did you replace isc with a new or used one?

replaced twice with 2 known working ones, and also tb complete with working sensors. tps is set to 0.72 volts at closed throttle but cant remember WOT was around the 4volt mark. have swapped ecus with a good EF XR6 ecu and still the sameproblem. all pins on the ecu are at correct resistance or volts within spec also.

sounds like a vac leak then. have you sprayed all the lines/intake gasket with aerostart etc?

haven't done that one yet. have done intake gasket when the head was done but it's done this since the motor was first in 5-6 weeks ago.
