I bought an EL Ghia as a donor car.
So since I'm replacing the Headgasket in my EF Falcon, I'm going to put the Tickford head from the Ghia onto my EF. Will I get the performance gains from the tickford head with my ECU or do I need an ECU designed for the Tickford head? I know the gains are only small. I would like to stay with my ECU as my cars a factory manual and i've heard some people having some issues with 'tricking' the auto ecu's. |

Your ECU will run it fine, you'll still get a bit of a power increase, however a minimal gain can be had from switching to a tickford ECU.

If you don't want to "trick" an Auto ECU with resistors, you can always use a J3 Chip - they can replace the factory eeprom with that of a Manual, making any ECU a Manual ECU. PM me if you would like more info Cheers, Jason

As I've fitted a Tickford motor to my Gli an can purchase the Ecu for $20? Cheers |

Along with the ECU, you will need the fuel pressure regulator, and the fuel pump.....they are needed for the Tickford ECU.
