Hello everyone.I have a 95 model EF Falcon GLi 5 speed and sadly had an accident in it today, the car is a write-off as the left font corner is smashed in and the chassis rail is bent.My question is,i cant start the car,it cranks but does not fire, what could the problem be?? The airbag in the car did not deploy,i have taken the fuse out for it.Anyone out there know why i wont fire? Is it something to do with the igntion module or ECU? Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks,Scott.

Could of busted the coil pack.
Does the EF have the impact switch to cut the fuel pump in an accident or is it just later models? I honestly cant remember.

I did notice the fuel pump not buzzing before trying to start. The car cranks but does not start, the air bag did not deploy.I have put some photos on to show the damage, the car has no drive belt at the moment due to it breaking after the radiator and thermo fans were pushed back onto the motor,i bent it back a bit to get the damaged fans out, also took the battery out.
Is their a cutout switch in case of accidents? Ive never heard of that before,or could it be something else,i need to get the car moved that why i need to start it.

Im quite certain it is a write -off as the left chassis section and wheel arch area are badly bent,as shown in the photos.

Sorry to hear about your car man. Could be the crank angle sensor is busted, it sits just above the harmonic balancer and it's held on by 2 screws.

There is no question about it being a write off.
That car is rooted!

Maybe I've got my "wires crossed", but I read somewhere that the indicator bulbs are somehow linked into the BCM or Smartlock system, so that a blown or broken bulb can cause the car to be immobilised. Anyone else heard this?

Anyone else heard this? That would really suck while your traveling at 100km/hr and your left indicator bulb dies...sudden stall, no power steering, brake booster off...flying at 100km/hr...
