hi everyone,
the other day my missus drove her ef into town with no problems what so ever and when she went to start it again it wouldnt fire racq came and got it going and told her it had flooded it was fine after that for a week or so but now does this on every start up it fires on the first attempt of starting it then missfires and wont start again unless you hold the throttle wide open and crank it over for atleast 10 seconds it then fires but runs rough as guts untill it clears itself does anybody know what sensor if any would be failing ive changed all the sensors on the throttle body and the one beneath it in the inlet manifold but the problem is still there

could be a number of things,
start with
map sensor and vac hose going to it
coolant temp sensor
fuel pressure regulator leaking fuel into vac hose
leaky injectors

that makes sense because the day it played up it had no temperature reading at all and when it played up again the coolant temp guage read HOT but the car wasnt excessively hot i'll grab a new sensor today and let you know how i go ........thanks heaps for ya info
