Hey guys, I got an ef futura which won't start and i can't tell if the computer is resetting because I can't turn the engine over in Park, I have to fiddle with it in neutral. What I am ask ing is if anyone has an idea on getting the START IN PARK PROBLEM FIXED FIRST!!

May be a stupid suggestion but perhaps the starter motor? My dad has an ED and you can start it with a hotwire in the engine bay but not with the key.

i'm not 100% sure how the faclons work, but in the earlier commodores there is a switch type thing that is attached to the shifter and will only let the car start in certain positions...
either way you should get away with replacing the safety switch only

Mine does it all the time have to wack it to the right in neutral while turning the Key but I have also now as some times that doesnt help have put a switch on it from the starter to a switch so if the key fails i crank it over with the switch, Will fix it properly one day lol.
