yesterday one of the coolant/heater pipes that are connected to my gas converter semi melted on my exhaust manifold, what makes it weird is the fact that they have never really been anywhere near it and was wondering whats the best heatproof insulator to put around it once i get the new pipe and try have it sitting away from the exhaust manifold

If u have extractors a heat wrap would be good but maybe a simple zip tie will secure it to the firewall or somewhere away from the manifold?

for now until i get extractors ive cable tied both of them to near the top of the firewall
