Hey guys, lately ive notice when taking it easy, the revs kind of 'lag' before 2000, and as soon as they reach 2000rpm or there abouts the engine revs and accelerates faster..
Im thinking it could be accelerator cable? Could also be the latest fitment of the full exhaust? i remember it used to pull burnouts a lot easier then now, when i try and do one now the revs just hang and it hardly spins for about 10 seconds then it goes off its head and smokes it easily... |

check vac leaks, check compression, check that the butterfly valves are operating correctly on the intake manifold. is it going threw fuel like crazy? maybe air filter or fuel? or even o2 sensor not reading correctly. try doing a dia test and see if there any faults that might help in the process of finding the issue.

Now that i think of it, i have been going through a fair bit of fuel..
I will swap the o2 sensor with a spare and see if it makes a difference. How do i check for vac leaks and how do i go about doing a diagnostics test? |

vac leaks you can start car up and spray some carby cleaner over manifold joins and vac hoses and lisson for the idle will change if it leaks into the intake then you know wats leaking.
your exhaust could be blocked the instruction to do the diag test should be in tech docs

cat is near new high flow..so i doubt its that. Ill do the vac check and also search for the diagnostics test instructions
