if you want xr spec, grab the ecu and 55kpa fuel pressure reg from said vehicle.
phongus has a awesome head gasket write up,its how i learnt to do it
basically pull off the exhaust and inlet manifolds, take off the rocker cover, engine at tdc cable tie the timing chain to sprocket.
undo cam bolt, undo head bolts in swirling order, get head machined ,buy new head bolts, buy au metal gasket from ford, clean block put back together, torq head bolts to au gasket spec.

ok cool, i wont be doing the swap till around x-mas ( the head and all the parts are a x-mas gift from my partner and my mum ) so in the mean time ill root around in the yellow pages get some numbers for some local machinist's and work out some prices for them to give the head a good clean and make sure i will get a nice seal with the gasket :)

works good for me.
i also bought a battery with double the cold crank amps which was cheaper than standard one anyway

xp would prolly sell yer a whole ghia too ,i went there once to buy a lsd and bought the whole car.
then i decided to register it and swap all my new falcon parts onto it then sold all the parts i didnt need.
scrapped the falcon and have used endles parts that i would have otherwise had to buy.
